Indian
Champissage - Indian Head Massage
Indian ChampissageTM
-is an advanced form of Indian Head Massage which involves massage of
the
upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, head, face and ears. It includes subtle
energy massage (energy balancing)
Indian
Head Massage has been practiced in India for over a thousand years
providing Indian families with relaxation and healing on a daily basis, as
well as playing a part in everyday events such as a trip to the
hairdresser as well as in rituals such as weddings and births.
The
concept was originally developed by women who used different oils
according to the season (coconut, sesame, almond, olive oil, herbal oils,
buttermilk, mustard oil, and henna) to keep their long hair strong,
lustrous and in beautiful condition.
It
works by releasing the stress that has accumulated in the
tissues, muscles and joints of the upper back, head, face, neck and shoulders, and
involves the client, sitting fully clothed in a chair for
the treatment. The therapist uses a range of different movements over the
upper back, upper arms, neck, shoulder and scalp areas. In addition, the therapist will also
gently stimulate and stroke pressure points on the face and ears. The session can
last about forty-five minutes or more, and then involve a short wind down
period..
It
is especially good for relieving stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia,
headaches, migraine and sinusitis .The experience is deeply calming and
relaxing, leaving you feeling energised and revitalised and better able to
concentrate.
The
benefits of Indian head massage help increase joint mobility and
flexibility in the upper back, neck and shoulders, improve blood circulation and
lymphatic flow, free knots of muscular tension, relax connective tissue,
and aid in the elimination of accumulated toxins and waste products. It is
particularly good for reducing the effects of stress and tension.

A
success story
Penny
virtually crawled (her words, not mine) into my treatment room 18 months ago
with the aid of a walking stick. Penny is a Polio sufferer with PPS (Post
Polio Syndrome), she also suffered migraines and frequent nosebleeds.
Another of her concerns was a dreadfully uncomfortable skin condition
affecting her upper back, shoulders, upper arms and décolletage. When the
condition flared up the heat in the spots was intense. Having visited the
Doctor and hospital over a 5 year period the condition could not be
diagnosed. Penny has been having Indian Head Massage treatments from me.
Regularly to start with, gradually spacing them out so that so that
maintenance treatments now keep Penny well balanced.
Penny started using the Tropic Skincare Elixir Oil 6 months ago, applying it
liberally when the spots flared up. Her skin has improved immensely. I saw
Penny last night and the condition is visible but it is hardly visible!
Has the IHM or Elixir worked? We cannot say for certain but used in
combination it has worked. The IHM certainly played it's part. The Elixir
Oil has certainly played it's part.
Penny's migraines have all but stopped. Only 2 nosebleeds in 18 months and
these were close together. Penny is feeling brilliant with no complaints and
only uses her walking stick in crowds, shopping centres or on unsure
surfaces. Penny is also a much calmer person.
We are both very happy. Penny is now trying the Tamanu balm on the scarring
and also uses the Lime and Neroli organic oil on her hair and scalp. Oh, and
the skincare and the face smooth!
If you of someone who may be helped by this Penny’s experience please
share this with them.

experiencing Indian head massage I no longer have a feeling of tension in my
neck and shoulders and my posture has improved. I no longer feel anxious
about everyday things and feel I can cope with whatever life throws at me !
After every therapy I feel more relaxed than the previous ones and can't
quite believe that it feels better every time . My life feels improved in
every way and I am so very glad that I found Linda and her 'healing hands '

"Having experimented with
a variety of complementary therapies over the years, I can say Linda is one
of the best therapists I have ever visited. Her touch and techniques
are fantastic and I have been amazed, from the very first session, at the
tangible differences her treatments have made to my physical and emotional
well being. In addition Linda is hugely knowledgeable on her subject
and other relaxation techniques so she is a great source of advice.
All of this, combined with her natural warmth, make my regular treatments
with Linda an essential part of my busy life." Claire , Livingston

| "I have
been an Indian Head massage therapist for over 10 years and can honestly say
that Linda's Indian Head massage was one of the best I have ever
experienced. Linda tailors her massages to suit each client and I was
blissfully relaxed afterwards. Not only that, but the effects lasted for
several days. I can highly recommend Linda. You won't be disappointed
- just really, really relaxed!"; Yvonne, Edinburgh

| "I'd always had an interest in having an Indian
head massage, but never got around to actually having one. When
that time came and I had some sessions with Linda. I thought to
myself why haven't been having these before now? It was an amazing
experience that I would recommend to everyone!
Linda you were absolutely amazing. You made me feel very relaxed and
comfortable and your technique is excellent to say the least, and your energy
is fabulous. I felt transported to somewhere so peaceful and all the
day to day thoughts that we all have, just melted away and my mind was
still & quiet, which is not always easy when we live such busy
lives.
I would like to thank you for your wonderful treatments, I can't wait
to book a party and introduce you and Indian head massage to my friends
and family.
Thank you" , Dawn, Eliburn
